This web site is designed to let everyone know the problems that I have been having with Home Team Advantage Inc.  The facts listed are both my personal experience and public information about Mr. Livingston and Mr. Ostendorf. 

 It is my hope that with this page I can help people make an informed choice.   From my personal experience, I feel that both the Better Business Bureau and the State of Florida failed to protect consumers.   According to the Sun-Sentinel article that was published on August 5, 2007.  (Click Here)   Mr. Livingston claims that Home Team Advantage has a good relationship with its customers.  I think that after a full visit to this web site, you would agree that I am not one of them.

On November 18^th 2008 Doug Livingston was booked in Palm Beach County on Larceny and Fraud charges.*

I received a Cease and Desist letter from an attorney (Read it) via email.  I have responded to this letter (Read Response), via certified mail.  My response was received April 28, 2008 (See Tracking).  I am waiting on a response, with the hope that we can arrange a meeting to resolve the remaining issues. 

Trail Update -- There is a hearing / Status hearing scheduled for June 26, 2008 according the Broward county Clerk of the Courts website.

As of  December 6, 2008 is has been over 7 months since Mr. Livingston’s and Mr. Ostendorf’s attorney has received my response to his demand that I take this website down, yet they still refuse talk about my unresolved issues. 

There are still, what I consider to be major, issues from my job that are unresolved.  Promises that were made to me and my family by John Ostendorf, President of Home Team Advantage Inc, he still has not honored.   During a conversation Mr. Ostendorf insisted that I place these problems in writing, I did and sent them out by both email and registered mail.  His office received this letter on February 29 2008, according the US Postal Service.  He has yet to respond to these issues.  Click here to see the log.

On March 8 2008, when I made my daily call  to John Ostendorf I had to laugh at his outgoing message.  He says “I’ll be more then happy to get back to you”., but he has yet to return a call from me reguarding the pending issues.

When I called John Ostendorf, of Home Team Advantage, on March 11, 2008 same contractor that states on his voice mail “I’ll be more then happy to get back to you”, he did answer.  When he realized it me calling he said “Oh s*it!” and hung up.  My next call went to his voice mail.  Like all the others, it was not returned. 

As of  Feb, 5th 2008 all of my permits were finally closed.  However there are still pending issues

On Saturday Feb 16^th they did do some work on the house, including cleaning up the windows.  As is there typical fashion almost no work done goes without messing something else up, like pulling the Alarm wires off the contact so that my home security system would not work.

On June 23, 2006 I was given a schedule from John Ostendorf, President of Home Team Advantage.  It stated that work would be done in seven (7) WEEKS!  A 49 day job was compleated only Five Hundred and Fifty Five (555) days behinde schedule.   This is a statistic I am sure that they are proud of, and the sad part is  we are still not done.  I also think that Jonh Ostendorf and Doug Livingston should be proud it only took 21 months after going in to contract, and 16 months after this part of my contact was originally scheduled to be completed the first permit was finally finaled! 

All permits were finalized approximately 545 behind the original schedule.
